This is Great Grandpa Edsel (Kyle's dad's dad). They were over for Christmas Wednesday night, and since our nephews were also here playing with Kaylie... I decided to snap a picture of all 4 of them.

She got her kitchen from grandpa (my dad) and Nanna Cheri for Christmas! It won't be long and she will be cooking dinner and breakfast for Kyle and I...! :o) YEAH!

A few gifts from Santa

Here is Kaylie with a few of her gifts that she got from Santa...

Santa brought her: A kitchen (which is still at my dad's and we will pick it up tonight), clothes, A Rody (blow up horse), Nike Shox, Wagon, Shopping cart, And a Mermaid car that she loves! I will post more pictures of our Christmas later when we get home and things settle down from the holidays! We are at my mom's in Bloomington right now, so I am taking advantage of the wireless Internet, since all we can get at home is dial-up! YUCK! I hate it!

Oh, and her Aunt Tony made her the most adorable chair that she loves to dive in to...!

Kyle's 1st Stitches!

We were at my aunt's house yesterday where she runs a in home daycare. Santa makes a visit there every year to see the kids and then they open their gifts from Tony after Santa leaves. One of the little boys needed help getting his box open (you know how they package kids toys these days!) and Kyle got out his pocket knife and was helping open the boxes and sliced his finger... So, we had to make a trip to Urgent Care where he had to get 4 stitches. OUCH!

They had to end up putting me in a seperate room because I came out of the room they had Kyle in and started feeling like I was going to get sick and pass out! That was the awfulist feeling!

So needless to say our day was interesting...!

1st Batter Beater Cleaning

Kaylie and I were over at our neighbors house today, she was making snookerdoole cookies, and gave Kaylie the batter beater to clean when she was done mixing! She loved it.

New Pictures!

New neighbors!

Our neighbors Tara and Rikk and their children have recently gotten a 6 year old Miniature jack donkey named Jack. He stands about 36 inches at the back. He is very friendly and funny. They acquired him about 2 weeks ago. Just yesterday they acquired Giddeon. He is a 3 week old Saanen/pygmy kid goat. He is SOOOOOO friendly and sweet. He just wants attention all the time and will follow you anywhere. They are currently bottle feeding him and she says that it is adorable! She called me and said that she put Giddeon out in the fenced area with Jack this morning, and he kept escaping through the gaps in the gate, and then kept following her to the house and trying to go in with her...LOL! She had to go and put some fencing on the gate to keep him in there. I haven't talked to her to see how the results of that went.

I think that things are starting to look up for her... She went 3 day with out eating...Which really worried me, but the Dr's office said that it was fine as long as she was drinking fluids and staying well hydrated. She did eat really good for us today. She is definitely starting to act like Kaylie bug again! YEAH!

Kaylie Update

Last night was a little rough with her fever and coughing. We were really starting to get worried about her not wanting to drink any fluids for us. This morning her fever has broken and has stayed down even before we gave her another dose of Motrin. That is a a big plus. She has been wanting a little more to drink today, but has still not eaten. I am hoping that she will want something a little later! She seems to be in better spirits as I think that she is actually starting to feel better too. We are keeping out fingers crossed that it is on the upside of this.

Our Thanksgiving...:o(

Tuesday, Kaylie started out with a nasty sounding cough. By Wednesday it is really sounded deep and nasty, so we decided that it would be best if we went ahead and took her into the Dr. since it was a long weekend coming up. Her Dr. was out of the office, so we saw one of the nurse practitioner's. Kaylie had a slight temp when we got there but was in good spirits otherwise. She didn't really say much about her cough, but did say that she had another ear infection (we just finished out second round of antibiotics for a double ear infection)... So, she decided to try a different kind. Wednesday night none of us got very much sleep. The poor thing was up coughing off and on, running a fever etc... So, we just decided to stay home and lounge with Kaylie bug today. Today-Kaylie has NOT been herself, running a temp,which was high at times, not wanting to eat or drink. We have been trying to push the fluids as much as we possibly can! I think the only thing that we have gotten her to eat is...A couple pieces of fruit. She has just been laying on us sleeping most of the day. We did end up calling the nurse, and she did hear her having a coughing spell while Kyle was on the phone with her, and said that she thinks that she has "Croup". She did give us many tips on how to deal with it. So, I did take her in the bathroom and turn the hot water on full and sit in there with her for about 20 mins. Well, I just wanted to keep ya posted on how she was feeling and tell you how she was spending her 2ND Thanksgiving..:o(
Poor thing... She could actually eat all the goodies this year too!

She WALKING!

She started taking steps a couple of weeks ago, but would only walk back and forth to Kyle and I while we were sitting on the floor, but out of no where this weekend she started getting up and walking for one piece of furniture to another, and loving every minute of it...She would giggle and get all excited as she tried to get her balance and make it to her next destination... I am afraid we are doomed! :O) Unfortunatley though, she had a little accident (Kaylie vs Coffee Table) this evening and has quite the little shiner...Poor thing! I am sure that it is not going to be the last time during this new journey of her's. One bad thing is is that I have an appointment to FINALLY get her year pictures taken this Saturday, but I guess now we will just have to wait and see how her poor little eye looks closer to then. I told my mom (Mee Maw) that she now needs to hurry up and get off of those crutches to keep up with her little Kaylie Bug! :o)

Hi!

Being Goofy!

Kyle and I were sitting in the living room the other night watching TV, when Kyle happened to look over and see that Miss Kaylie Bug had decided to climb in to her toy basket...LOL!

She was then of course stuck! :o)

The SPIDER!

Kaylie was dressed up as a spider for Halloween...We didn't really do much trick or treating... I just took her into Kyle's office in the afternoon, and then we went to his mom's house which is in Springfield and then his dad's house in Petersburg. We were planning on making a few more stops, but the night got away from us.

Kaylie's 1st Hayrack ride

Kyle's dad had a Halloween party Saturday night... He used his old antique tractor and hooked it up to a wagon, and took us all for a hayrack ride... It was pretty chilly, but we were all bundled up! Kaylie seemed to really enjoy the ride. Here is a picture of the 3 of us when the ride was done.

Kaylie's 1st Birthday Party

Kaylie had a WONDERFUL birthday party with all of her little friends over to help her celebrate! We had 2 bouncers set up, which was a HUGE hit... Although Kaylie didn't quite know what to think when you would put her in it. I am sure next year she will enjoy things like that more. My aunt also runs a in home daycare and has lots of cool gadgets. She brought over her cotton candy maker and sno cone machine. It was like our own lil carnival. The kids had a BLAST, well okay, the adults too!!! :o)

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY KAYLIE!

WOW! I can't believe that I am saying this! Kaylie turned 1 today. It has amazed me on how much she has learned and changed over the past year! Where has the time gone??? Her vocabulary is growing daily. She says lots of things, but her newest thing is "Dood Dirl" Because I tell her good girl a lot.

We are having her party this Sat (Oct 6th). So, check back for big party pictures!

Kaylie's 1st Combine Ride...

Kaylie didn't quite know what to think at first... She kept looking through the window at the corn going down, and then she would look at grandpa (like what in the heck are you doing?) Then the combine was getting full, so the tracor with the grain cart came up beside us while we were still shelling, so we could empty our load that we had in the combine... And she thought that was cool watching the corn come out the auger and into the wagon. She then would touch the window, pointing and talking up a storm.

Next thing we know... She is asleep!!! So, I would say her 1st combine experience was relaxing!
