Kaylie's 1st Hayrack ride

Kyle's dad had a Halloween party Saturday night... He used his old antique tractor and hooked it up to a wagon, and took us all for a hayrack ride... It was pretty chilly, but we were all bundled up! Kaylie seemed to really enjoy the ride. Here is a picture of the 3 of us when the ride was done.

Kaylie's 1st Birthday Party

Kaylie had a WONDERFUL birthday party with all of her little friends over to help her celebrate! We had 2 bouncers set up, which was a HUGE hit... Although Kaylie didn't quite know what to think when you would put her in it. I am sure next year she will enjoy things like that more. My aunt also runs a in home daycare and has lots of cool gadgets. She brought over her cotton candy maker and sno cone machine. It was like our own lil carnival. The kids had a BLAST, well okay, the adults too!!! :o)

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY KAYLIE!

WOW! I can't believe that I am saying this! Kaylie turned 1 today. It has amazed me on how much she has learned and changed over the past year! Where has the time gone??? Her vocabulary is growing daily. She says lots of things, but her newest thing is "Dood Dirl" Because I tell her good girl a lot.

We are having her party this Sat (Oct 6th). So, check back for big party pictures!

Kaylie's 1st Combine Ride...

Kaylie didn't quite know what to think at first... She kept looking through the window at the corn going down, and then she would look at grandpa (like what in the heck are you doing?) Then the combine was getting full, so the tracor with the grain cart came up beside us while we were still shelling, so we could empty our load that we had in the combine... And she thought that was cool watching the corn come out the auger and into the wagon. She then would touch the window, pointing and talking up a storm.

Next thing we know... She is asleep!!! So, I would say her 1st combine experience was relaxing!

I was in the other room, and heard this noise... Went in the kitchen and Kaylie had grabbed my mop, and insisted on mopping for me! I am teaching her young!

She loves it when we stand her up to out closet mirrors and she thinks there is another little girl on the other side. She talks to her, gives her kisses!

Kaylie's First Camping Trip

We went camping with our good friends and their kids on Labor Day eve...LOL We had a wonderful time. We were not sure about taking Kaylie at first, but then decided that it would be fun. The weather was good. It did get a little chilly in the middle of the night... But, it's a good thing Kyle was thinking and grabbed the little space heater. It worked great, and Kaylie was all snuggled in and cozy in her pak n play in the tent. Thanks for the GREAT tent from the employee's at RSM... (They got it for us for my bridal shower). We love it!!!

Kaylie's 1st Tractor Ride

Daddy took Kaylie for her 1st Tractor ride on Sunday when he had to do some mowing... I rode along and watched her reactions! She loved it! She was smiling and clapping her hands. In about a month or so, I am sure that Grandpa Michael will give her the opportunity to ride in the combine! So, stayed tuned for more pictures. :o)

The Blast 2007

As most of you know, Kyle and I belong to The Two River's Jeep Club in Pittsfield, IL and our club has two big events each year where we allow the public to attend and run our trails. Well, here are a few pictures of what jeepin on the trails is really like. Here are some pictures from 8-10 & 8-11. Some of you may say were NUTS! But it's a lot of fun... We get to meet a lot of new people each event and also visit with our good jeepin buddies.


We are waiting for Kaylie to get just a little bit older and she will be coming with us. There are A LOT of people that bring their little ones (They love it).

Grandparent's 50 Anniversary Party

We had a wonderful time in Nebo @ Harpole's Heartland Lodge for my grandparent's 50 anniversary Party. It was great... We ended up renting the whole lodge for the party, and their children, Grand children, and Great Grand Children got to come home from SC and GA. Everything worked out great!

Kyle and I have been their about 3 times now, and will continue to go back... It is a wonderful relaxing place.





As you can see the wildlife are everywhere there. This is a baby raccoon that was up on the balcony with it's mother... The mother climbed down the pole, but the baby was a little hesitant to do the same. We realized that there was a family of raccoons living under the stairs to the deck. We were trying to help him get down, so they were trying to feed him marshmallows. The good news is the baby raccoon got down peacefully and re-joined his family. :o)

Kaylie 9/10 Month Pictures

I took Ms. Kaylie bug on Friday to get her pictures taken. She is doing GREAT, and growing! I have been looking back at her pictures from when she was little, and I can't believe how much she has changed!

She had her 9 month well baby check-up at the beginning of the month, and she weighed 21 lbs, and was 28 inches long. She's a big girl!

Pit Stop @ Susie Q's

On our journey home from Brandon and Kristina's, we stopped at Susie Q's (My cousin that also lives in a suburb of Chicago). She just closed on her new townhouse last weekend. So, I was excited to see it. It is a adorable place Suz!

Madison & Kaylie

We went to McHenry IL which is up North of Chicago this weekend... Kaylie got to meet her friend Madison for the first time. She is the daughter of Brandon and Kristina (One of Kyle's fraternity brothers and his wife). We had a blast... We got there on Friday evening and then went to the Crystal Lake Gala Festival. The girls had fun dancing to the music etc. Then Saturday evening we went to Lake Geneva. It was a really good time. We went to a really neat restaurant near the water and then walked around and of course had to stop in a little shop and get some ice cream... Yummm! Now we are back home (Sun evening) and dreading the unpacking...LOL!

We want to Thank You Brandon & Kristina for the hospitality and the wonderful relaxing weekend!

BTW: Happy Anniversary Brandon & Kristina (Their anniversary is on the 5th).

Kaylie's 1st Swim -9 Months

Kaylie experienced her first swim last week. She really surprised us as to how well she did. We thought for sure that she would cry when we put her in her raft, because the water was a little chilly. She was a good sport and seemed to love it.

She is getting so big and FINALLY got her 2 bottom teeth! They popped through the weekend before Father's Day weekend. We were so excited!

7 Months!

Okay, so I know that it seems like I am getting worse about posting each month. Sorry!

Kaylie is getting so BIG! But as you can see, I think that her hair is growing as fast as she is! I think that I am going to have to break down and go get her bangs trimmed for the first time. :o(

Still no teeth!

She yells for her DA DA all day long! :o) Don't think she's a daddy's girl or anything do ya?

6 Months Old - Easter

Kaylie met the Easter Bunny for the first time last Wednesday... I thought for sure that she would be scared of him, but as you can see she loved him. The Easter Bunny even made a comment to me about how good she was! She is changing so much EVERYDAY! Still onery as ever!

Still no teeth... She has been chewing and trying to cut for about 2 1/2 months now. I wish one would just pop through soon!

5 Months

I know... I have been a little bad about posting lately. Considering she will be 6 months on April 1st. We have had a lot of stuff going on the past couple of weeks... Kyle had to have his wisdom teeth cut out last week, so I have been caring for him and Kaylie. One bite of applesauce for Kaylie, and one for Daddy. :o)

Kaylie is growing like a weed, and discovering new things and sounds everyday! For example: She has been making a growling noise (not sure where she learned that) but it's cute. She loves going for stroller rides and sitting up like a BIG girl.

Daddy also took her on her 1st 4 wheeler ride the other day.
